Yes, EverQuest, the grand daddy of online games changed the way we played online forever. The year was 1999, in internet years it is like centuries ago.

As I unpacked the game from the box, a feeling of excitment came over me.

Yes, the online game Everquest would change the lives of many gamers indeed. A huge community of gamers would form and even an economy would establish itself based on real money. The items would start selling for gold and gold could be bought for real money. This was unheard of back then.

Alliance Night Elves Hands down, the most attractive race of the Alliance, the Night Elves look great both clothed and naked. There’s not too much to say about the naked male Night Elf, but the female has a slightly off body shape, and the ribs protruding not only don’t fit with the stomach, but give the torso an awkward look. Still, you have to admit, the Night Elves can really get their dance on.

Ok here is my money making tutorial.

First of all I have to say that this is quite a way to make money and we should keep it to ourselves so it does not get nerfed.

I have to mention that this tutorial is based on another MPS member idea, in fact it is a development of that idea.

Requirements:
You need to be a Craftsman of lvl 13+ to be able to perform this.
First you have to harvest: any type of meat, any type of antonican fish and the best seller: raw black tea leaf. There might be more but didn’t had time to look after them.
But the news are that you can buy this from the broker and still get quite a good profit!!!

How it works:
You get the meat and with a packet of spice and 1 coal you craft something else: usually it is called like baked crab, elephant steak, cichlid steak, etc..
Each one of this you can sell to merchant for 1s. The cost for it is: Coal-6c, Spices-35c and meat you get it from 4c to 40c. Considering the maximum price you get a profit of 19c on each craft. If you buy at minimum price the profit is 55c per craft.
But the best part is raw black tea leaf. With it you can craft black tea leaf. This requires only aerated mineral water-6c and coal-6c. This also sells for 1s. Considering that raw black leaf sells from 4c to 60c. So the profits on this are much much larger.

When you first hop off the tutorial boat and land ashore, the initial NPC chap you’ll come across is Garven Tralk. He’ll be whining for refugees to come see him. Ignore his grating demeanor and strike up a conversation with the fellow. He’ll ask you your profession etc, and of course since you wish to be a priest……select priest!

General Quest:
Garven will ask you to “prove your worth” by killing one of the invading Goblins, which have suddenly plagued the Island of Refuge. Accept this quest without delay, and double click the weapons rack to grab a simple club and a few other items. Equip the club and bring up your map by clicking the “M” key. The troupe of Goblins you’ll need to target to complete this first quest is a foolish bunch, mindlessly sprinting towards their deaths at the hands of the powerful guards manning the west entrance of town……where the action is! Head into town and then to the NW, heading out of the main western gate.

Welcome to Qeynos!

So you’ve hit the shores of Qeynos, and guess what? You’re still a refugee! But no worries, this tutorial will walk you through, step by step, what it takes to become a citizen in the supposedly glorious city of Qeynos. Why do I say “supposedly” glorious? If you’re like me, you’ll find the vast majority of the people overbearingly friendly to the point of driving you insane. I guess for this reason, my main character resides in Freeport.

Once inside the Inn, you will be greeted by quite possibly the most frustrating MMOG character ever to curse a computer screen. The doltish Innkeeper of Qeynos. Luckily, and unluckily…..you have no reason to speak to him at this point. His main purpose at this point in the game is merely to sell you poorly made furniture for your new room. However, if being a pushy furniture salesman isn’t enough, the guy has a serious addiction to sweets. I’m not talking about heading out to the local Qeynos 7-11 to pick up a Peanut Butter Cup, this guy needs to be institutionalized. Apparently his wife is no longer around and he desires nothing more than some sweets which he shouts about incessantly, NON STOP. Hey, I dig on sweets…….but this guy’s irritating voice combined with the fact he continuously screams he “needs him some crunchies” (apparently a synonym for sweets in Qeynos) can literally drive one straight back on the boat to Freeport, or if permitted straight over the counter with sword drawn. I promised myself, as soon as I acquired Qeynosian citizenship the first quest I would complete would be for the Innkeeper and locate some damn “crunchies” for him…….just to shut the fool up.

Technically barbarians are humans, just humans on massive heriditary anabolic steroids.

While humans are extremely well rounded in all attributes, Barbarians are a bit….well….for lack of a more flattering term…….slow in the mind. For this reason all the other races can easily convince the race to head into the battle head first, without thinking of the physical ramifications. Some call it loyal, some call it courageous, but the argument could be made that loyal and courageous many times is a product of a simple mind…….just ask your dog.

Barbarians can be Good or Evil…..therefore can migrate to either Qeynos or Freeport after finishing their initial stint on the Isle of Refuge.

My hopes are that you get a general idea of how grinding works in wow, and maybe some new places that you might never have thought of to grind…

Grinding has been one of the most effective, and most hated ways to level since the beginning of the MMO franchise. Grinding is simply leveling off of experience gained by killing a certain mob repeatedly. Heres my theory of grinding for noobs/semi-noobs:

-Stock up on the highest water/food you can get…you will spend hours grinding..no use if u die alot…keep your health/mana up!

After much debate, character rerolling and tapdancing on the backs of hundreds of different types of mobs, I have decided upon the ULTIMATE soloable/PVE template!

I realize everyone has a varying opinion when it comes to these sorts of templates, however there were a few criteria I had in mind when creating this template.

I’ve just finished a new character to 60, a Rogue, and i chose to go through the game only doing instance quests and the ones at the start to get to lvl 12 or so, and i grinded every single bit of XP apart from that to reach 60, and in this process i have found so many great grinding spots and money spots i couldn’t believe it and ended up reaching lvl 60 with 1100g and all my items up to date, and since these kinda posts have dried up on the site a bit i thought i would make one. So I’ll try and remember all of them that i can, if i forget any and remember ill post em up later, enjoy.

Money / Xp Grinding Spots ::

Salt Flats – 7 / 10
If you are lvl 30 – 36 you can goto the salt flats, i would recommend a bit higher then lvl 30 if you want to grind but, because you will have to rest after every fight and cant grind very efficiently, i went at lvl 32. The Salt flats have a wide range of beats including Turtles, Basilisks, Vultures and Scorpions. These mobs are all good for xp, as they are around the lvl range i said before, but they drop heaps of random bits and pieces, like shells, wings, bones, scales, claws etc. These parts all stack in lots of 5 or 10, and there are loads of them down there so you can build up a fair bit quite quickly, and this stuff really adds up when u go to sell it at a vendor, i had no trouble making up around 10g after a few hours, and heaps of xp to. 10g might not sound much to higher lvls but makes mount money a lot faster to get.

This paragraph is the exact same text for all my solo and group PvE templates, so after you read this once you can just skip it for other classes. These are my templates for what I consider the best viable templates for PvE purposes ONLY. A solo template is assuming that you never plan on grouping. A group template assumes that you are in a group 100% of the time, such as end game instances. I have also been asked to provide info on what skills should be taken at which levels, this is really difficult as it would depend on exact individual play styles. However, I put a number in parenthesis before each skill, this number is the level that I would take the skill at, of course this is extremely prejudiced because it is based on my own play style. I will help you to become the greatest fighter in Aden by helping you find key quests, shops, and leveling spots. First you should go through the short but very important guide at the beginning of your adventurer. Now go, be guided, with haste fair one.

Back? Great, let’s get you started on the road to twenty. First off equip your sword and armor by hitting tab and right clicking on the armor and sword in there. Next go to the bottom right hand of your screen and click on the first button to the left. Go to the actions button under there and put attack, sit and pick up items in your hot bar too the right of your screen. Place them in the following order: 1. Attack 2.Sit 3.Pick up items. To use those just hit the corresponding F key, for attack F1, sit F2 and so on as you get more attacks and what not.

First thing is first, when you create your new elven character, you’ll want to talk with one of the Mothr Temps to get the first quest for a map. This quest is simple, and involves killing 4 keltirs. These are generally found right outside of where you start and should be fairly simple. Keep killing these until you hit level 4, and then Give the 4 fangs to one of the Mother Temps. They will give you a Leaf Of The Mothertree. Give this leaf to Nerupa, she is right there as well. After this you have a couple of choices.

First choice would be to talk to the grandmaster (Looks like she has a big butterfly or something coming out of her back), and she will have a few smaller quests for you which will net you some quick XP, and Adena, and involves running things from one NPC to another.

Ok, I was able to find numerous tricks in SWG, lets see if this one Pan’s for L2.

Lose that Item after getting raped by 4 or 5 tough critters, I did, but I found a way to get it back, has only worked once so far for me.
Just as you get ready to go to the nearest Villiage take and spam the pickup button, there is a split second that you are actualy alive in the same spot.

Do the first quest immediatly and start leveling right outside your city walls, venture further away from the city (the opposite direction of your starting temple).

Fight things that you kill easily and have little to no down time. Get quests to kill certain mobs and stick with them. No need to kill anything else since you won’t get a reward for that.

Get a bow, pull and fire 2-3 arrows, then pull out your melee gear and start swinging. When the creature is low on hp hit it with a special attack (have to be lvl 5) You will Over-Hit and get more xp than normal.

When your lvl 5 talk to the trainer and leave the training window open (thanks to DragonX7 for this tip) It will save you time instead of running back and forth.

The WOW pvp system awards time and not skill, so if you don’t have 12 hours a day for PVP’ing, going for exalted with one of the factions in the battlegrounds, will most likely get you better results gear-wise. The advantage of going for exalted with the BG factions is that your reputation gains aren’t reliant on others, as it is with the PVP system, so you can gain rep when you want and it doesn’t decay.

There are 3 battlegrounds; Alterac Valley (AV), Arathi Basin (AB) and Warsong Gulch (WG).

Accelerated Leveling Guild for Alliance:

Purpose – I’ve often been asked how I level so quickly. One day you may see me at level 30, the next I could quite possibly be 35. One specific example is going from level 30 to 50 with my Main character in less than a two week period. Many people have asked me to write a quick leveling guide, so I decided to give it a shot. This guide is not for any specific class, but specifically aimed at the Alliance Faction.

Background/Experience – Level 60 Night Elf Rouge, Level 40~ Dwarf Hunter, Level 40~ Human Warrior, Level 40~ Night Elf Hunter, Level 40~ Gnome Mage. Every other class has been played to at least level 20, Most to 30~. As such, this guide will be as specific as possible up to the level 40 area, and more general knowledge afterwards.

Ok most every player should know by now about the felwood foods. Whipper root tubers,night dragons breath, windblossom etc.
They are very handy in pvp and pve as the whippers and night dragons are on seperate timers from regular healing potions so basically u can heal yourself for 1750(major healing)+900(whipper)+450(night) for a whopping total of 3100 health. they are also only on 2 minute cooldown.The best part is they are free!

Well i found that if u find a plant with the food in it, u open the the dialogue box(after cleansing it if needed), zoom in so there is minimal distance between the message u click on and the plant. left click the message to get the food as normal, then quickly right click the plant again. about 50-75% of the time if u did it fast enough another dialogue box will appear and u can do it again and get double food.

Okay let me tell you the low down on hunter builds for PVE strictly talking about solo build here.
I have tried marskmen build which is by far the most popular but from my past experiences with my hunter I started as best spec cause I was a dwarf and it wasnt popular this is before the big skill tree change. Now I noticed my pet cant hold agro from me I do have a blue rifle and crit good amount sure the numbers are nice but sometimes you get ganked by some gay spider walking by ect..
With markman shipbuild its hard to survive a fight with a creature 3-4 lvls above you if another one adds. But with beast build its pretty easy target the add tell beast to attack it do that until it has agro switch it back to orginal target start firing away. Also at early level hunter its okay to melee heck even 30+ you still melee sometimes your pet should hold agro even with a blue 2 handed weapon on. The most creatures I survived at once was about 4 wolf when I was lvling around darkshores that was all at once than shortly after I had 2 more attack thankfully not all at once but my dear fullfy nearly was dead take off taunt and use distracting shot and tank if you have life or potions if not use wing clip followed by dazing shot run short distance away channel as much mend as you can to your pet have him taunt again and keep tring to heal him.

i. It’s required that you have a HIGH level of fishing, probably 225 or above. Having a high fishing level helps you fish faster, and more efficiently.
ii. A fishing pole would also help, Im using a “Big Iron Fishing Pole” (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=2950). This is VERY handy, but is a rare find.
iii. A safe spot to fish, also hidden. This helps when your either on a PVP server, or if you just flat out don’t want to be seen when using the Fishing Bot.
iv. And the fishing bot, which can be found under (on the left) – Quick-Strat Forums World of Warcraft Gold

Strategy:
The idea here is to take on as many griffons as possible, and killing them as fast as possible. The most I’ve been able to take on at once without dying is 6, but it’s tricky. 5 should be no problem if you pay careful attention to your healthbar. Guide to Understanding Rares and Runes

Introduction
There seems to be much misunderstanding about how Runes and whats Rare and whats not. I have put together a little guide of what I have discovered through playing the game and researching.

One thing that I have noticed that seems to help boost the drop rate of Rare items, is doing Missions Solo. It is argued that a party of all Players has the same chance as a party of one. But, after much testing, I disagree. I went with Drake hunting parties probably 10 times before I could solo them, this being before the Loot Balancing Update, and found maybe one Gold item and one to two Purple items per trip. Keep in mind, this was split between the party, not reserved just for me. Going Solo, before and after the Loot Balancing Update, I found two to three Gold items pre LBU and I find one to two Gold iems post LBU. Almost every Drake drops a Purple Rare if it fails to drop a Gold.

THOSE FAMILIAR WITH space-based MMORPG EVE-Online will be aware that there is community upset at the moment over supposed slowdown and unplayability.

There’s been a bit of an uproar over at the official EVE-Online forums with a humongous 23-page thread, which you would have once been able to find here. However, it’s been locked out by miffed mods, supposedly so it could be read through and studied.

Genuinely confused posters here at the replacement thread have donned their tinfoil hats and are whispering of an EVE-Online conspiracy to remove the thread in order to prevent new EVErs from being dissuaded.

give you a very broad skill base for a trading-related career.

Remember that in EVE, the initial creation of your character really has very
little to do with the final version of your character. The EVE skill system is
so wide open that you are not pigeon-holed into a particular career path. Your
initial selections here may only have a 5% impact on the final makeup of your
character.

Also note that this guide was made in a late beta stage, so some items may
change with time.

1) To start, go ahead and choose whatever race you wish. In an older beta
version, the Ni-Kunni Amarr had a 25% bonus to NPC trading prices. It is unclear
if that is still the case.

At 30 you are chomping at the bit to level—halfway to 60 and 10 extremely long levels before your mount. Before you can move up, there is some running to do. You need to pick up 4 flight paths to set yourself up for success.

Sorry for waiting so long to post this update. I don’t want to affect my own efforts. As you can see I have been collecting a lot of low level gems. My feeling is that these gems will have the highest markup after the expansion. The rule I set for myself was to not spend over 10s for malachite, tigerseye, and shadowgem. It is realistic that people after the expansion will spend 20s-50s each just to get past the low levels of jewel crafting. It’s funny because the bulk of the gems I bought for less then 3s each. In order to feed my apatite for gems I had to switch gold over to the alliance side. So now the market on my server both side has gone to ****. People are trying to charge 1g for 1 shadowgem. Same with tigerseye, but there is no way in hell anyone will spend that much at this point. As someone else pointed out gold, silver, truesilver bars will be a good thing to have for jewel crafting. I have made my own collection of these bars. But the point id like to make is that ore is 100% drop from veins. Unlike gems being a chance to drop.
