Another amazing thing about the Nintendo Wii is that it attracts people that normaly or not video game players.  My wife hates video games, but she loves to play Wii tennis and bowling.  She is very good at it.  It think it has partly to do with the contollers and easy play.  You don’t have to know complicated button combinations.  Just move the controller and “nunchuk” controller and enjoy playing.  Nintendo was very smart in developing a video game system that is easy to play and attracts a wider market.

If you enjoy the world of Mario Brothers, the Nintendo Wii is the system for you.  There are many games available with the Mario characters, and they are great looking and fun to play games.

An apartment set up well for ultimate gaming is a priority for me and I am having a tough time finding one one Manhattan.  I have a decent job and everyone knows the rent in Manhattan is obnoxious, but I continue to search for an apartment that will maximize my gaming experience at home.

Most of the apartments in New York City that I have found are long and narrow, which don’t provide enough horizontal space for my 42″ Samsung DLP and 3 game systems.  Currently, I spend most of my time on the Nintendo Wii, but I also enjoy the PlayStation 3.  For HD televisions, I believe 12 feet is the appropriate viewing distance recommended, and with any kind of couch, that seems to be a tall order without putting my television at the end of the apartment and setting it up the long way.

Right now I live in the East Village, but I really need to find a place that is more conducive for my home gaming setup without blowing my budget.  I know apartments at Stuyvesant Town would work, but the rents have been raised by $600 or more in the last year and its just out of reach for my budget unfortunately.  I figure there must be more NYC gamers out there who can advise on how to find a place for a great home gaming experience without a CEO income.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System really blew me away when if first came out back in the early 1990s. The first Nintendo Entertainment System was amazing and groundbreaking in itself, but when the SNES came out it was really the dawn of the modern era of video games for me. The Sega Genesis and the Turbo Grafix 16 were already out, so the SNES was a fairly late arrival to the third generation of video game consoles, but it was worth the wait. Of the third generation consoles, the SNES was my favorite and I owned all of them. The SNES is the only one of the three I still sometimes play today.

My daughter had her heart set on the V-smile learning system last Christmas, and because it is an educational toy, I decided it would be a good investment.
