An apartment set up well for ultimate gaming is a priority for me and I am having a tough time finding one one Manhattan.  I have a decent job and everyone knows the rent in Manhattan is obnoxious, but I continue to search for an apartment that will maximize my gaming experience at home.

Most of the apartments in New York City that I have found are long and narrow, which don’t provide enough horizontal space for my 42″ Samsung DLP and 3 game systems.  Currently, I spend most of my time on the Nintendo Wii, but I also enjoy the PlayStation 3.  For HD televisions, I believe 12 feet is the appropriate viewing distance recommended, and with any kind of couch, that seems to be a tall order without putting my television at the end of the apartment and setting it up the long way.

Right now I live in the East Village, but I really need to find a place that is more conducive for my home gaming setup without blowing my budget.  I know apartments at Stuyvesant Town would work, but the rents have been raised by $600 or more in the last year and its just out of reach for my budget unfortunately.  I figure there must be more NYC gamers out there who can advise on how to find a place for a great home gaming experience without a CEO income.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When I looked it up, I found about out enough about WOW power leveling to make me completely sick. Apparently, some people are so completely crazy about their game play that they use WOW power leveling gold to up their character stats. Basically, they pay some service to rapidly advance their character. As a result, they get to be more powerful than any of the normal players without putting in the time to get good. Not only is it not fair, but  WOW powerleveling really ruins the game. Suddenly, it isn’t about advancing your character by engaging in a realistic simulation. It is about who is most willing to waste money and cheat! It made me not want to play anymore. After all, cheating ruins the game. For those of us playing fair, it is really depressing to see a newbie with god-like powers rip things up! The solution to stopping the misuse of WoW power leveling is not to try and enact policies and online gaming systems to make powerleveling more difficult to attain, but instead, game designers need to design the game to make it undesirable to cheat.

The “grade” of a spell acts as a modifier to your effective level, for casting purposes. There are four grades to each catagory (Apprentice, Adept, and Master) but not all of them are in the game yet. If you have the Apprentice I version in your Book, you can scribe any better versions you acquire. There are no level prerequisites for upgrades.

I don’t have the patience for crafting, and often i find myself able to level faster without groups due to the fact that I can solo yellows with ease.

I found that in the Thundering Steppes, I can make nearly 1 gold an hour, and while gaining exp. Nice way to waste your time.

Basically, you’ll want to solo beetles, birds, snakes, and deer. These are easy mobs to solo. Please note you should be at least level 20.
The trick to the money is the drops. I get chests in that area very frequently. Chestguards, wristguards, shields, all selling for 15-20sp at your favorite npc merchant.

If you are either part of Queynos or Freeport and need to conduct business in the other area this tutorial will show you the way. I wrote this tutorial because I needed to meet someone in Antonica and did not know the way I was also only level 13. It took me longer than necessary and I died a couple of times, all as a result of not knowing the way. Any level character can make this journey so long as they are careful however it is very dangerous. Knowing the way certainly helps also being level 20 is also a big help! Red on the maps shows the route you take by foot and Blue is the Griffon Flight.

I was dorking around with making Adept 3′s last night, only at level 14 Scholar so for me a Ward of Spirits is white(even). After making the hella expensive suzuri ink to scribe the scroll i procede to the table and began. To my dismay, the progress bar wouldn’t move at all. I just continued to lose quality, and when I would gain some, it would drop right back off. Naturally I started spamming trade skills, and as I did, watched my scribing skill go up 3 times in 30 seconds. After the smoke was cleared, I was unable to scribe the scroll.

Ok before I get started let me say this is for mages and priest but i am sure scouts and fighters can do this as well but i have not tried this with them. Another thing is that this is with a basic character no spell upgrades. You do need to be lvl 6 to do this but you can start at lvl 5.

Ok with that being said, what you are looking for are two creatures, the Gaint Spiders and Gruttoth Hunters at level 6 they should be green and they spawn so fast that you pretty much kill them non stop having to rest every 20 minutes to refill your power bar but there is pretty much no chance of death here.

Try searching the broker at lvl 10 for soapweed and buy it in bulk, It sells for about 2cp+.. Then purchase your common (aerated mineral water) and Candles and craft away the night either at the keyboard manually or macro… whatever you prefer.. have yet to macro overnight making soapweed emulsion at lvl 10.. Just thought i would throw that out there for everyone who might be in need of a easier grind to lvl crafting..

You break from combat, activate your two hour ‘perfect dodge’ ability, and logout. Perfect dodge has a 30 second duration, and you have to be out of combat for 30 seconds to logout, so the two mesh perfectly. The 2 second wait goes with the two second activation time of perfect dodge. This won’t work against casters, but if you’re mobbed in melee, this macro will let you log out and wait for things to clear out before logging back in.

When you have around 20 cloth craft go in to giddeus and kill all the yagudos possiable. They drop necklaces which you can turn into grass thread*3 with a earth crystal. Then turn that thread into grass cloth by using 3 threads and one wind crystal. You can then turn that cloth into whatever you want for4 alot of moneyanndkill the bees for the beehive chips they sell good to. If done right you earn about 600k in one hour.

If you warp from the DE town to the northern forest and then run Southwest to the mountain line you will find large spawns of Dark Succubus and erratica beast. Both are passive mobs which is nice because you can log in and out without worry of danger. The erratica is lvl 18 and the succubus is 20. I say to go there at level 22 because you can easily kill one after the other this way.

The erratica beast will drop a throw knife for its rare drop and the succubus will drop a cestus for its rare drop. The Succubus is also a semi-slow mob and drops a scroll of escape as its second most rare drop. I’d guess at a rate of 7-10% for the drop rate of the scroll. I left this area at level 27 with well over 200 scrolls. (a guess as to the amount. I gave away many to guildmates and sold about 100)

There is a nice mob in eversong woods (just south of silvermoon city) for when you need to lvl up a new weapon, like when you’re lvl 20. Useful for BE paladins especially for when you get your new polearm. Basically, it’s a lvl 6 Plaguebone Pillager that has an instant respawn. You just stand in one spot and repeatedly right click until your weapon is at the skill lvl you want. He wanders so you might have to kill a few to figure out which one it is, but his respawn point is 50,57 in the middle of the dead scar. When you’re in the right spot you’ll be standing just south of a little busted up cart. Useful more for lower lvls, not sure how weapon skill-ups work for higher lvls, I’m guessing you would need a higher lvl mob to do this on.
