There is a monster on the lose. That monster has a $16.9 Billion suit on, and takes no prisoners. It walks around devouring all it comes across. All, except one. Former images of itself, even when it is hurtful to it! No, this is not some unsolvable riddle. The picture that has been painted is a practical one. The rich monster is the gaming industry. So what would be its images from the past? Those, are the ever growing in popularity, retro games.

Technology is increasing and getting more fantastic. This is a great friend to the gaming industry. But even with this increase in technology and fantastic games, the retro games of the past are growing stronger. They are developing a cult following, and people are loving it.

What is to account for this phenomenon? I know this may come as a shock, but all the technology in the world, does not make for great game play. There are some fundamental things that makes for a great game. In the past the console and game creates were in tune with the people. Instead of creating what they want, they knew what they already wanted. I, for one, and am a fan of this. The reason is that one does not get burned out when it comes to something they already love. No tricking involved, just good old fashion game creating. Nothing fancy!

The era of 16-BIT gaming was a very special time for many children around the world. It was the first real indicator that video games would one day be big business and everybody seemed to want a slice of that action. In the 90s video games tended to be quite similar in build but this is mainly because the gaming industry was just finding its feet and learning what worked and what didn’t. The first boom period for video games was in the 70′s but that was almost a classic example of boom and bust as the market was quickly saturated with too many console manufacturers.

During the 1990′s there was a period of time where many classic games were released. These weren’t just on home consoles, they were released on home computers too. Games like Magic Pockets, Gods, Populous, Xenon 2, Speedball 2 and Elf were epic classics and their place in gaming history was cemented pretty much as soon as they were released. It’s all down to the addictive nature of the gameplay of these titles. They were fast, fun and sent the imagination reeling.

Lately game design has become a little stale, but that is most likely because the current generation of consoles has once again reached the limits of what it is capable of. With game budgets seemingly growing exponentially and the time frame taken to develop a game lasting years it seems like the industry really needs a short and sharp shock to help it streamline itself. If something is not done soon, we won’t see another golden era of gaming like we had in the 1990′s and that would be a terrible shame.

Bakugan is a card game that is played with magnetic morphing marble. It was developed by Sega Toys and Spin Master. It is a TCG (Trading Card Game) game? This also makes the World of Warcraft Hunter exceptionally good for long boss encounters as well as being able to do good burst DPS on the shorter encounters. Also you have the benefit of your pet dealing dps or tanking for you or your party. By working carefully with your pets abilities, you will not only increase your pet’s DPS, but yours as well. Buffing up your Hunter to increase his stats also buffs up the Hunter’s pet’s stats to a smaller degree. Also, the WoW Hunter can split pulls with his Freeze trap. Doing this can really help in the more difficult dungeons with large elite mob pulls. There is no class in the game better at pulling than the WoW Hunter class.

If you were to think of the best first-person shooter that’s available for a console, what would you say it is? Many gamers would say it’s Halo 3 for Xbox. Halo: Combat Evolved was released in 2000 and is considered by many as one of the best first-person shooters that is available for a console. The gamer plays as the character called Master Chief. Of course, the most important factor in choosing an online fighting game is playability. Another amazing thing about the Nintendo Wii is that it attracts people that normaly or not video game players.  My wife hates video games, but she loves to play Wii tennis and bowling.  She is very good at it.  It think it has partly to do with the contollers and easy play.  You don’t have to know complicated button combinations.  Just move the controller and “nunchuk” controller and enjoy playing.  Nintendo was very smart in developing a video game system that is easy to play and attracts a wider market.

The Iowa travel guide lists several gaming spots within the state and there are more coming all the time. I can be at no less than three casinos in under an hour from my location and there is another under consideration. This all started with the Indians and then the government found out how much money they could make allowing private enterprises build them. No one ever looked at the harmful parts of the enterprise. No one even thought of anything like a gambling addiction or the people who gamble away the rent check and grocery money. No one talked about the fact that a casino actually subtracts from the economy rather than adds to it. Of course this was all swept under the rug because politicians could charge very high rates and thus they could have more money to spend on any pet project they have in mind. Greed seems to be the biggest factor in deciding weather or not to all another establishment or not. At least that is my view
