When they first started they went by the name ‘Bungie Software Products Corporation’ and primarily released games for Macintosh. However in 2000 they teamed up with Microsoft to produce a killer first-person shooter that went by the name of Halo. Although before the highly successful Halo trilogy came onto the market, they also produce such games as the Myth series, Marathon and Oni.

Halo Bungie website always evolves after each game of release. The developer’s of Halo have announced that they have been working with Peter Jackson. It is possible that gamers may see another installment of the Halo franchise. Although no actual news about projects has been announced, gamers have been given hints that something has begun.

These skulls once obtained can allow the gamer to change their game play by making it more challenging, or changing things such as dialogue or appearance. These skulls are generally placed out of the way so that gamers have to look around in different levels to be able to find them. This however does tend to lead to frustration for many gamers who have no idea where to look. For those gamers, there are many different walkthroughs available for them all over the internet to help them obtain these skulls.

In order for a gamer to obtain any of the Halo 3 skulls, they have to begin their level from the beginning and be playing on Normal difficulty or higher. Once a Halo 3 Skull has been obtained the gamer can then save and quit the level, they don’t actually have to finish it. This however is not the case with the IWHBYD skulls.

Halo gamers are now able to customize their online character with new Halo 3 Armor permutations. For gamers who play online there are two different characters that can be chosen from. A gamer can play as the Covenant Elite character or they can play as Master Chief or also known as UNSC SPARTAN-II. These new armor permutations we’re first introduce during the Halo 3 beta, and all of the new armor can be unlocked by accomplishing different tasks through out the campaign game play or multiplayer game play.

There are a few different ways that a gamer can unlock these Halo 3 Armor permutations. Some armor pieces may already be unlocked by default for both characters, however other pieces will be unlocked in different ways. You can unlock armor by beating the campaign in either the Heroic difficulty or the Legendary difficulty. Other pieces of armor can be unlocked by completely achievements throughout the game.

Silver skulls however are different. They will not unlock any achievements and there are 4 Silver skulls in total. When a gamer collects all of the Silver Skulls they will be able to change the physics, dialogue and appearance of the game. Take for example the IWHBYD skull, better known as the ‘I Would Have Been Your Daddy’ skulls. When this skull is found and unlocked it can change dialogue for the AI players. The gamer may hear AI brutes saying ‘Pie is good’ or they may hear AI Marines saying ‘THIS IS SPARTA!’

People who don’t play the Sims 2 online don’t understand my addiction. I have been playing the Sims deluxe for years, and still my friends laugh when they hear about it. After all, what is the fun of playing the Sims online? All you do is direct little people to walk around, buy things, and talk to people in an imaginary world. Couldn’t you get the same thrill just from living? It’s really hard for me to explain. I understand these objections. Either you get it or you don’t. Whether or not you support educational learning programs, you have to admit that in some cases they make sense. You see, typing is an almost purely mechanical skill, sort of like learning the musical keyboard, but without the art. Since the Halo Trilogy has become such a highly successful game, the developer’s have obviously changed some things around. In 2000, Bungie studio’s teamed up with Microsoft to put out their next big project and killer app first-person shooter named Halo: Combat Evolved. During its release sold more then 6.5 million copies and quickly became Xbox’s flagship franchise. Four years later came the highly anticipated sequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, which was called Halo 2. Halo 2 actually sold $125 million on its day of release, which allowed it to set entertainment industry records and breaking what Halo: Combat Evolved had achieved. Three years later the final installment to this amazing trilogy was released and surpassed what Halo 2 had achieved. Halo 3 raked in $170 million during the first 24 hours of release and also became the largest pre-ordered gaming in history.

There are two types of categories of Halo 3 skulls that can be found, and each skulls, achieves something different. These two categories consist of Gold Skulls and Silver Skulls. The Gold skulls generally affect game play that will allow the gamer to make his or her game play more challenging.

Bungie studios, it’s a popular name in the gaming world, known for the highly successful Halo trilogy. It was originally founded in ‘91 by two undergraduate students who originally went by the name ‘Bungie Software Products Corporation’ and primarily released Macintosh games. One of the first ever games that the Halo Bungie developer’s put out was actually called GNOP! Which if you look closely is PONG spelled backwards. They did however have some other successful games such as Marathon, the Myth series as well as Oni.

The Halo Bungie website is also a place for gamers to learn about new and upcoming projects that the developer’s have on the go. It’s been recorded that the developer’s are currently working with Peter Jackson who is known for the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy on another Halo game that maybe called Halo Chronicles. So it’s very possible that gamers haven’t seen the end of the Halo franchise just yet.

There is a group of gamers that want to stage the largest networked game of Stomp the Monsters ever held to get into the Guinness book of world records. They already have the event published in a list of Missouri tourism events that has copies in all the rest stops and welcome centers across the state. They are hoping to attract at least a thousand gamers from across the nations and all that they are asking you to bring is your computer with a network card of some type installed. The plan is to play two versions of the game when the maximum number of people are online. The first version will be team sports with fifty teams of twenty players each. The second version is going to be an every man for himself game. The winners of the team event are all going to receive a copy of the game with full access to all updates and future releases and the winner of the single event will receive that plus a fully loaded up to date system to play it on. The sponsors are hoping to preregister as many people as soon as possible so that they can plan the layout of the network.

One of my favorite Minnesota attractions is their festival of games. It is held in a different part of the state every year so that it can highlight different attractions. The biggest draw of the festival is when all the gamers hook their computers into the same network and play different shoot ‘em up games. These games can become long and involved and can sometimes take up hours and hours at a time. One of the main reasons that is moves all the time is to allow spouses  and children a different attraction that they can go see when they aren’t watching their parent play. The group realizes that although they can keep entertained for an all day stretch but that the family members not playing can get bored easily. The event is open to anyone with a computer, but be prepared this group is as well practiced as any I’ve seen. In some of the games where groups of players take on other groups of players the player groups have been formed for years. As a newbie it is not easy to defeat a group that has been together for years and can almost read each others minds. I suggest bringing your own group to the competition.

There must be a lot of gamers in the Midwest as Kansas City seems to be a central location to attract participants from all over. One convention that was all about board games drew almost ten thousand people. Another one dedicated to card games drew even more than that. People love their games, just look at the number of Bridge clubs or card clubs, there are even Monopoly clubs in some areas. And that doesn’t even begin to talk about the computer games or the game counsels. That is a multi-billion dollar industry in this day and age. What first started out as playing a slow paced ping pong game has turned into flying super fighters all over the world and engaging in battles against foes with different weapons. The skill set needed isn’t always just fast reaction times there is a lot of strategy involved to win against most enemies. The enemy may have weapons just as powerful as yours but he doesn’t have your intelligence. If you can take advantage of that fact you will be sure to prevail.

Usually the separate into different groups and the groups play against each other. One that I saw had four five man teams and they were running around (in the game) and destroying each other. The rules don’t allow for any kind of an invincible mode, so anyone can kill anyone. Usually after you are killed you have a certain amount of time and then you are resurrected. Of course you are in the same place where you died and your group has moved on so the number one priority is to find your group and develop any intelligence along the way to help. There is radio communication so you can call your buddies to help you find your way or to deliver the information that you have developed. If the airwaves are dead you are in trouble as that means everyone in your squad is dead, at that point there is no resurrection, you lost.
