If you warp from the DE town to the northern forest and then run Southwest to the mountain line you will find large spawns of Dark Succubus and erratica beast. Both are passive mobs which is nice because you can log in and out without worry of danger. The erratica is lvl 18 and the succubus is 20. I say to go there at level 22 because you can easily kill one after the other this way.

The erratica beast will drop a throw knife for its rare drop and the succubus will drop a cestus for its rare drop. The Succubus is also a semi-slow mob and drops a scroll of escape as its second most rare drop. I’d guess at a rate of 7-10% for the drop rate of the scroll. I left this area at level 27 with well over 200 scrolls. (a guess as to the amount. I gave away many to guildmates and sold about 100)

I just got my rogue to lvl 60 and I decided to make a priest (Very high demand on my server). And when I got to lvl 35 I looked at my time spent ( /played) it was only 4 days. So I thought I would share this with you.

*1 – 10 Starting area (ex. Darnassus, Elywnn)
*10 – 18 Westfall (Grinding – questing) Deadmines once for loot
18 -20 Wetlands (Grinding – few quests)
20 – 25 Duskwood (Darkened Bank)
25 – 30 Duskwood (Raven Hill skeletons)
30 – 35 Alterac Mountains (Dalaran – Turtles)
35 – 40 Theramore (Turtles)

This guide has a lot of turtle killing, only because I found that fast-easy to kill, plus they dont do alot of damage. Im sure alot of people already use this or somthing similar. But its just another way to get up those beging lvl’s fast.

Not many people realize the huge gaps in between prices different NPCs will offer you. I came across a blatant example this evening.

I had looted a medium level sword from a mob in the Commonlands, and when back in town went to sell it to an NPC (seeing as though I am a Mage). The Arms Dealer in town offered me 1.2s, while the shield smith offered me 2.6s!

So you get the point, don’t sell your goods to the first NPC you come across. Make your way to the market area and check with all the NPCs for the highest price. The price discrepencies are huge, so it’s well worth your time.

Ok, time for a bit of How-To about Conjurer’s and partly also about summoners since I have only just started on conjurer.

Alot of this is gathered from forums and testet on own char.

First I will list the Bread and Butter spells of Conjurer’s up until lvl 30.

From 1 to 9 as a mage these will be what you will use most and their uses.

Lightning Burst – Your bread and butter damage spell for the first 13 levels, your ONLY DD so I suggest upgrading it to Appr3 as soon as you can, fast cast and used in 80% of your solo HO’s

Static Pulse – Your first DOT and also a magic debuff, it’s a GREAT puller spell since it has very fast cast/recast, does relativ low starting damage and debuff’s target for further spells/dot’s

Here’s a quick couple pieces of info that i’ve used to craft pristine armor 100% of the time, even armor that cons yellow 2 levels higher than me.

1. Use only durability buffs. Spam them from the beginning. For armor its easiest to spam the one that raises durability a great amount while reducing success chance a little. This way I don’t burn through my power bar during the craft.

2. Get into a rhythm. You wanna be hitting a buff every tick. But you also wanna be hitting it just before a the chance reactions pop up for you to counter. If you can get it timed to where you’re hitting the buff 2 seconds before one of the reactions come up it will give you plenty of time to react properly and not screw up your rhythm.

With The Burning Crusade less then 2 months away and beta characters capped out, we have a pretty good idea of what it will take to get to level 70. Along with the level cap raised, all primary and secondary skills have had thier caps raised to 375 and a new profession, jewelcrafting, has been introduced. Lets not forget FLYING MOUNTS!!! All this costs money. Money that I plan on extracting from the masses, and you can too.

All this new content presents challenges from a trade skill stand point and will leave a sizable void in the market for supplies that are needed to skill up professions. This guide is based on my personal experience in TBC beta but still holds a signifcant amount on risk since we won’t know what will happen on live. The good part is, most of these items won’t cost you anything but the time it takes to collect them and the bag space to store them till the time is right.

I recently started a new char just for fun and wanted that char as high as possible. I was just planning to use it for artisian spell making although i found the char to be much more usefull. Anyway here it goes:

Starting on the isle of refuge you can go 2 different ways, i chose to do the long way for the better benefits but if leveling is all you want then do only the fighting part. I got all my mining/foresting/gathering to 30+, which I think will be very important later on. I noticed there is lots of people on the isle’s doing the same thing. But the trick is learning the spawn spots. Once you have those down you go gather and mine everything you can in those spots. Then you can go to the mariners bell and travel to other isle’s 1-7 i think, So clean up on 1, then goto 2 and so on. You will hit 30+ in your skills in no time. You also may want to bring your artisian to level 5 while your there, and i think theres a quest for a 10 slot bag.

This relies on two different things. Unfortunately either or both of these are likely to be changed in the big craft patch. I think this has been delayed to after Christmas, so you have another week.

1) Alchemists are easy, fairly fast, and cheap to macro.
2) High NPC buy-back rates on some products

I’m doing this at tier 4 (level 30+) . It works to a lesser extent at lower levels but isn’t as profitable.

What you need to do is stock up on some tier 4 harvestables. These are not used in many other recipies and not in high demand so you can get them fairly cheap. I rarely pay over 1sp for them but will happily go up to 2 or 3.

There is one way of making money (sliver) pretty quick that I know of when you are still on the isle of refuge. Here it goes:

1) Level up to 6 and keep going til you cap out at 220%. This will still raise your skills a little I think but when you become a citizan wherever you go, it wil jump you up to level 8. And it is so easy.
2) Kill the goblins that drop the 6 slot bags (Siege Planner and I forget the name of the other one, but they are both in the same general area where the brutes are) and sell them for about 3 silver.

They added some new writ givers to the game for higher levels — I’m not sure what level you need to be to start using these. They are all pretty close to the original writ givers. You can actually get quests from the original writ givers to find the new ones, a quick way to get 4 more completed quests!

Ok time to make some nice money and fairly well exp. Go to the zek docks and talk to shadow to get the operation greenhood quest, then further in the lookout post area there was some barbarian dude, his name escapes me but he is behind a table in front of a large wall. Anyways he gives you a quest accept it, now you must kill orcs of a certan type; the type is random now for operation greenhood. You must talk with the Trapmaster who is directly out of the lookout post. Turn right and keep it straight, he is near the broken down tower hiding

We all have a TON of collection quest in our Journals. I made it a point to complete one. Collect all the bones from a certain race and return to Mervos in North Qeynos. You are rewarded with some xp and a Petrified Eye from whatever race you completed. If you check alot of other sites they will label the 7C eye as junk. That is not so. It is a little known fact that when placed in an “activatable” slot or and your hotbar that you can cast a spell that makes you appear as that race. Your only requirement is that you have an extra bone from that race in your inventory. Unconfirmed that it can remain in the bank.

I collected Ogre bones. bought some for about 8S total and a friend gave me the last one. Now I can prance around Qeynos, not as my Erudite but as a BIG UGLY OGRE!!!! The spell last six hours or until you zone. I take of my mage robe so I look more Ogreish!

I probably over think things, but I try to give a wedding present that goes along with a theme.  For instance, if I know they like being outdoors, one of my favorite gifts to give is a really nice all inclusive picnic basket and a few bottles of wine.  Or, if I purchase something like a mixer I also like to include a few personal recipes or even a full cook book purchased from a store.  Generally, I think it is nice to try to keep a wedding gift on a smaller size scale because it is difficult to transport gifts after a wedding reception.  Trying to keep that in mind, things can get a little dicey! You can also find a lot of cheap groomsmen gifts.

I live in a small house. Sure, we’re hoping to move up in the world within a few years, but for now, it is all that we can afford. Most of our furniture isn’t the greatest because we have a kitten and a toddler that loves nothing more than to climb all over the couches and spill things. Our living room furniture doesn’t really match and we intend to wait until we do move again to buy a nice living room set. My kitchen and dining room is my favorite area of my little house. It’s decorated very cheerful and bright, with a contemporary touch. My kitchen table and chairs that I’ve had since my college apartment just doesn’t look very nice sitting in my dining room and the kitchen tiles too. I’ve longed for a new kitchen table since the moment we moved in. It is now six months later and I have managed to save ,000 for purchasing a new kitchen table and chairs. I just needed to find something that fits us and our home nicely.

Ok here is my money making tutorial.

First of all I have to say that this is quite a way to make money and we should keep it to ourselves so it does not get nerfed.

I have to mention that this tutorial is based on another MPS member idea, in fact it is a development of that idea.

Requirements:
You need to be a Craftsman of lvl 13+ to be able to perform this.
First you have to harvest: any type of meat, any type of antonican fish and the best seller: raw black tea leaf. There might be more but didn’t had time to look after them.
But the news are that you can buy this from the broker and still get quite a good profit!!!

How it works:
You get the meat and with a packet of spice and 1 coal you craft something else: usually it is called like baked crab, elephant steak, cichlid steak, etc..
Each one of this you can sell to merchant for 1s. The cost for it is: Coal-6c, Spices-35c and meat you get it from 4c to 40c. Considering the maximum price you get a profit of 19c on each craft. If you buy at minimum price the profit is 55c per craft.
But the best part is raw black tea leaf. With it you can craft black tea leaf. This requires only aerated mineral water-6c and coal-6c. This also sells for 1s. Considering that raw black leaf sells from 4c to 60c. So the profits on this are much much larger.

When you first hop off the tutorial boat and land ashore, the initial NPC chap you’ll come across is Garven Tralk. He’ll be whining for refugees to come see him. Ignore his grating demeanor and strike up a conversation with the fellow. He’ll ask you your profession etc, and of course since you wish to be a priest……select priest!

General Quest:
Garven will ask you to “prove your worth” by killing one of the invading Goblins, which have suddenly plagued the Island of Refuge. Accept this quest without delay, and double click the weapons rack to grab a simple club and a few other items. Equip the club and bring up your map by clicking the “M” key. The troupe of Goblins you’ll need to target to complete this first quest is a foolish bunch, mindlessly sprinting towards their deaths at the hands of the powerful guards manning the west entrance of town……where the action is! Head into town and then to the NW, heading out of the main western gate.

Welcome to Qeynos!

So you’ve hit the shores of Qeynos, and guess what? You’re still a refugee! But no worries, this tutorial will walk you through, step by step, what it takes to become a citizen in the supposedly glorious city of Qeynos. Why do I say “supposedly” glorious? If you’re like me, you’ll find the vast majority of the people overbearingly friendly to the point of driving you insane. I guess for this reason, my main character resides in Freeport.

Once inside the Inn, you will be greeted by quite possibly the most frustrating MMOG character ever to curse a computer screen. The doltish Innkeeper of Qeynos. Luckily, and unluckily…..you have no reason to speak to him at this point. His main purpose at this point in the game is merely to sell you poorly made furniture for your new room. However, if being a pushy furniture salesman isn’t enough, the guy has a serious addiction to sweets. I’m not talking about heading out to the local Qeynos 7-11 to pick up a Peanut Butter Cup, this guy needs to be institutionalized. Apparently his wife is no longer around and he desires nothing more than some sweets which he shouts about incessantly, NON STOP. Hey, I dig on sweets…….but this guy’s irritating voice combined with the fact he continuously screams he “needs him some crunchies” (apparently a synonym for sweets in Qeynos) can literally drive one straight back on the boat to Freeport, or if permitted straight over the counter with sword drawn. I promised myself, as soon as I acquired Qeynosian citizenship the first quest I would complete would be for the Innkeeper and locate some damn “crunchies” for him…….just to shut the fool up.

Technically barbarians are humans, just humans on massive heriditary anabolic steroids.

While humans are extremely well rounded in all attributes, Barbarians are a bit….well….for lack of a more flattering term…….slow in the mind. For this reason all the other races can easily convince the race to head into the battle head first, without thinking of the physical ramifications. Some call it loyal, some call it courageous, but the argument could be made that loyal and courageous many times is a product of a simple mind…….just ask your dog.

Barbarians can be Good or Evil…..therefore can migrate to either Qeynos or Freeport after finishing their initial stint on the Isle of Refuge.

Grinding has been one of the most effective, and most hated ways to level since the beginning of the MMO franchise. Grinding is simply leveling off of experience gained by killing a certain mob repeatedly. Heres my theory of grinding for noobs/semi-noobs:

After much debate, character rerolling and tapdancing on the backs of hundreds of different types of mobs, I have decided upon the ULTIMATE soloable/PVE template!

I realize everyone has a varying opinion when it comes to these sorts of templates, however there were a few criteria I had in mind when creating this template.

1. Make excessive amounts of money.
2. Rarely, if ever, have to purchase ANYTHING from the Auction House other than weapons and armor.

I’ve just finished a new character to 60, a Rogue, and i chose to go through the game only doing instance quests and the ones at the start to get to lvl 12 or so, and i grinded every single bit of XP apart from that to reach 60, and in this process i have found so many great grinding spots and money spots i couldn’t believe it and ended up reaching lvl 60 with 1100g and all my items up to date, and since these kinda posts have dried up on the site a bit i thought i would make one. So I’ll try and remember all of them that i can, if i forget any and remember ill post em up later, enjoy.

Money / Xp Grinding Spots ::

Salt Flats – 7 / 10
If you are lvl 30 – 36 you can goto the salt flats, i would recommend a bit higher then lvl 30 if you want to grind but, because you will have to rest after every fight and cant grind very efficiently, i went at lvl 32. The Salt flats have a wide range of beats including Turtles, Basilisks, Vultures and Scorpions. These mobs are all good for xp, as they are around the lvl range i said before, but they drop heaps of random bits and pieces, like shells, wings, bones, scales, claws etc. These parts all stack in lots of 5 or 10, and there are loads of them down there so you can build up a fair bit quite quickly, and this stuff really adds up when u go to sell it at a vendor, i had no trouble making up around 10g after a few hours, and heaps of xp to. 10g might not sound much to higher lvls but makes mount money a lot faster to get.

This paragraph is the exact same text for all my solo and group PvE templates, so after you read this once you can just skip it for other classes. These are my templates for what I consider the best viable templates for PvE purposes ONLY. A solo template is assuming that you never plan on grouping. A group template assumes that you are in a group 100% of the time, such as end game instances. I have also been asked to provide info on what skills should be taken at which levels, this is really difficult as it would depend on exact individual play styles. However, I put a number in parenthesis before each skill, this number is the level that I would take the skill at, of course this is extremely prejudiced because it is based on my own play style. Of course if you think you have a better template please share it with us.

Welcome to the world of Aden. I will be your guide through your travel from level one to twenty. I will help you to become the greatest fighter in Aden by helping you find key quests, shops, and leveling spots. First you should go through the short but very important guide at the beginning of your adventurer. Now go, be guided, with haste fair one.

Back? Great, let’s get you started on the road to twenty. First off equip your sword and armor by hitting tab and right clicking on the armor and sword in there. Next go to the bottom right hand of your screen and click on the first button to the left. Go to the actions button under there and put attack, sit and pick up items in your hot bar too the right of your screen. Place them in the following order: 1. Attack 2.Sit 3.Pick up items. To use those just hit the corresponding F key, for attack F1, sit F2 and so on as you get more attacks and what not.

First thing is first, when you create your new elven character, you’ll want to talk with one of the Mothr Temps to get the first quest for a map. This quest is simple, and involves killing 4 keltirs. These are generally found right outside of where you start and should be fairly simple. Keep killing these until you hit level 4, and then Give the 4 fangs to one of the Mother Temps. They will give you a Leaf Of The Mothertree. Give this leaf to Nerupa, she is right there as well. After this you have a couple of choices.

First choice would be to talk to the grandmaster (Looks like she has a big butterfly or something coming out of her back), and she will have a few smaller quests for you which will net you some quick XP, and Adena, and involves running things from one NPC to another.

Ok, I was able to find numerous tricks in SWG, lets see if this one Pan’s for L2.

Lose that Item after getting raped by 4 or 5 tough critters, I did, but I found a way to get it back, has only worked once so far for me.
Just as you get ready to go to the nearest Villiage take and spam the pickup button, there is a split second that you are actualy alive in the same spot.
