Realizing what a huge success the first Super Mario Bros game was, Nintendo soon began including the game as part of the package when you bought the system. When I first got my Nintendo Entertainment System, it came with the Super Mario Bros game and I was in video game heaven. Having been an avid fan of the Atari, I was dumbfounded by the graphical and audio improvements seen in the Nintendo. More than the better graphics and sounds, the sheer size and scope of the Super Mario Bros game was what really made the Nintendo stand out. Atari games had all been extremely short with very little depth, but the Super Mario Bros game just kept going and going.

Finding cheap Xbox games has never been easier. If you are an owner and fan of the first Microsoft video game console, the Xbox, you are probably just as excited as I am about the recent release of their follow up model the Xbox 360. Personally, I’m not excited because I plan on buying an Xbox 360, I’m just stoked because the prices on the original Xbox games are plummeting as a result. Cheap Xbox games are suddenly everywhere, and I’m in Xbox heaven.

Those 80s Arcade Games were the only place for under 21-year-olds and the only activity center, really, save the malls. And since we were not the mall-dog types, we took rolls of quarters and devoted our after-school time to the arcades. This made me remember the old commercials from when I was a kid, so I told him about how Peggy Fleming would attach a Bic pen to her skate blade and skate around the ice with it; then, the advertisers would write with it, to show how it still held up.

I recently got my first guitar - a Fender Squire – which is a beginner guitar, apparently infamous for it’s lack of quality.
From that auspicious beginning, I set out immediately to get a beginner guitar lesson. Naturally, I began my search on the Internet, where such services can be had for free, and immediately Googled a pile of beginner guitar lesson sites.
A good idea but not much good. I’ve never played a musical instrument before, and after watching a small image of some goateed dude strumming on his axe beside a diagram showing little numbers in circles which was supposed to somehow explain what he was doing, I confess I was no closer to knowing how.

We started playing 3 card poker and at first it seemed that there had to be something missing because it was so easy to learn.
By the third round we all had the hang of playing 3 card poker and my neighbor’s wife was building up quite a pile of chips.
After playing for 45 minutes our neighbor decided that we should play something other than 3 card poker.
His reason was that he thought it was too simple of a game to be playing.
The real reason was that his wife had most of his chips! We decided to play one of our other favorite games, but I am sure that in the future we will try 3 card poker again because it really was fun and easy to play.

During the world cup final championship, passions can run so high that fans actually fight, or sometimes kill each other in the stadium. C’mon over, We’re Having A Poker Party!
Having a poker party seems to be one of the hottest trends among young males in the 18 to 24 age range. Unfortunately, not as many women are into the game and have become quite exasperated with this addiction.
Poker is definitely a guy’s game. The only women who seem to be interested in poker are either trying to hook up with one of the male players, or she is a certified cheater! I don’t know if part of poker’s appeal has to do with the word itself.

A Sudoku puzzle will only have one correct answer so it is important that one places or writes down the best answer to one square. Sudoku, for those who still, do not know is a number game that calls for a player’s patience and logical skills. Though quite simple at first glance, the game can be mightily complicated. Each puzzle is composed of a 9 x 9 grid. The grid is composed of 9 columns, 9 rows and 9 squares with 9 small squares inside. The objective of the game is to fill up the squares with numbers, 1-9, provided that the numbers will only appear once in the column, the row and in the bigger square. This simple yet maddening rule makes the game ultra difficult and addicting as hell.Â

The world of dinosaurs has changed quite a bit since the days of my six year-old self and his dinosaur toys. Some of them have become warm blooded (depending on who you ask), and it turns out that my beloved T-Rex was much more of a scavenger than a predator. Thanks to Jurassic Park the Raptor has become a bit of a celebrity in the dinosaur world with his big talons, sharp teeth, and huge brain. My beloved Brontosaurus is no more; it turns out that his gigantic fossil was actually a mislabeled Apatosaurus fossil.

Diablo and Diablo 2 were the first hack and slash games to get it right, and virtually every game in the genre since their release have been at best poor imitations, and at worst blatant copies.
In Diablo you can choose between three characters, a warrior, a rogue, or a wizard. The warrior is your typical armor wearing, sword-wielding hero, the rogue is good with a bow and can disarm traps, and wizards of course rely on magic to smite their foes and heal themselves. While these characters are somewhat generic, the world in which they operate was totally new. Like the game ‘Rogue’, the game takes you down a series of dungeons that get more and more difficult. Unlike previous hack and slash games, there is actually a plot, and a town with characters you can interact with and sell treasures you find.

PSP games, which come on the Universal Media Disk (UMD), cannot be copied because UMD is a read only format. Although you can’t copy PSP game files, you can download other games from the internet and even participate in playing a game that you don’t even own. If you are much of a gamer, you’re going to want to invest in the new 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo due out in July 2006.

Yes, of course, Pong was a huge deal: we could do something virtually for the first time in our lives. But that was the 60s. I’m referring to the fondness I have for memories of the 80s arcade games that we (my boyfriend and I) would play by physically going to an arcade (and not an amusement park, at that?an actual arcade that had nothing other than a change machine and walls of stand-alone, full-sized games like Pac Man, Mz. Pac Man, and Asteroids and Donkey Kong.
